Elmhurst

I just got back from a wonderful week in Elmhurst with Phil and his family. Now back to the harsh reality of Pittsburgh and my last semester of classes. Eek. Christmas was really nice with Phil and his family. Mrs. Boyle is super nice and being around Phil when he is around is brothers is always enjoyable. Plus given the fact my interactions with my family are awkward and weird and best when kept to a minimun, being in Chicagoland was really nice. It was a real vacation. It was low-key. I had a really good time. Furthermore, Phil got me an iPod for Christmas. Big ups to Phil for that one.

In sum, going to Elmhurst for a week makes me happy.

YAY

The feeling of being wanted is really nice. Even if it doesn't come from the expected source. That being said I am going to Chicago for Christmas. The ticket has been bought and I will be spending Christmas with the Boyle family. I am really excited and better yet Phil's family seems really excited. I do feel kinda bad that I won't be at home but Dad hasn't said anything and Christmas at home hasn't been the same since Donna moved in and started decorating the tree without me. I guess I am going to be the asshole that doesn't come home for Christmas if Charlie ends up coming home but it is Charlie and he is about as dependable as something that isn't dependable at all. So forget the family. I want to have a nice Christmas and such an event is guaranteed in Elmhurst. Plus it is a week with Phil in Elmhurst which is always a nice vacation.

In other news Robert finally got me his mother's waffle recipe. I think this puts me in good enough standing to ask for a letter of recommendation. Don't you?
