So I sit here in my little dorm room in Paris and life is good. Tom never called me tonight like he said he would so I will be sure to yell at him tomorrow when and if I see him. Probably good that I stayed in. I finished my essay that is due tomorrow so I feel good and productive. So I will edit it tomorrow, I would really like to somewhat impress my prof unlike the first essay which was just so-so but the intergration period really doesn't count for crap so why kill myself now when I know I have to kill myself later.
Speaking of which I picked my classes. I only have class on Monday and Thursday which is quite the good deal. The schedule is as follows: Monday 1:30- 2:30 France 1880-1990: History of a Political Naiton 2:45-4:45 recitation for History of Politcal Thought 5-7 The Democratic Question in the Muslim World: The Turkish-Iranian Case and 7:15-9:15 French. Thursday 12:30-2:30 recitation for France History of a Political Naiton then 5-6:30 History of Political Thought and 7:15-9:15 The EU and Its New Neighbors. It will be a lot of French in one day but I have a lot of time to get work done during the week and it is better than just constantly coming and going from Sciences Po.
Speaking of long weekend I bought my plane ticket to Italy today. October 29th-31th will be spent with Chris Kaiser in Bologna! I am really excited. It will be really nice to see him again and I am sure by that time having a little bit of home will do a lot of good. Plus we are going to Marquee Moon! This has the makings of a great time. Hooway!
Also, Phil has his plane ticket to Paris for Christmas. I am really excited about that. He won't be here as long as we both wanted but he got the ticket for free so we shouldn't complain. It means that we won't be going to Barcelona but there will be plenty of time for that in the future. Plus sticking around Paris isn't going to suck. Perhaps Chris will come up for a few days. Who knows. I think we are going to go to mass at Sacre Coeur. I recently found out it is a bit of a tradition in his family so of course we are going to keep it alive. I am really excited to experience Paris with Phil. I could go on and on about this but most of you don't care so I won't.
So life is good.
